Life Can Be Delicious

Feeling blue...........Love chocolate?

Well, have I got great news for you!

Dark Chocolate may just be what you need to not only ease your pain, but calm your anxious mind. Pain relief and reduced anxiety are both possible when you consume dark cocoa. This is due to the fact that it is rich in theobromine, caffeine, tyramine, and phenylethylamine (PEA), which stimulate the production of serotonin and endorphins, the body's natural opiates!

My favorite is Cocoa Camino brand with Coconut and a handful of raw almonds to help stabilize blood sugar levels.
Cheers!

Kids in the Kitchen

When it comes to children and helping them choose healthy foods, we as parents must remember to practice what we preach. If we choose healthy foods our children will imitate and follow by example.

Would you like your children to become better, healthier eaters? Then bring them into the kitchen with you and teach them how to cook. Here are a few basic tips to get you stared:

  • Kids are more likely to try foods they’ve helped prepare

  • They learn valuable cooking skills they can use throughout their lives

  • They’re introduced to different types of food

  • Chopping and slicing is good for manual dexterity

  • They can hone their math skills using measuring cups and spoons

  • They can practice their reading skills following recipes

  • They can contribute to getting dinner on the table more quickly

  • It’s a good way to get their creative juices flowing

  • They learn to become more self sufficient

  • You get to spend quality time with them

For smaller children, you may give them a big wooden spoon for them to stir ingredients in a bowl and help you with taste testing. They will light up with joy!

Cashew Cream Sauce

This Recipe is downright delicious! I often see clients who have dairy sensitivities. One of the first things I ask them to remove from their diet is dairy. That can seem like a daunting task for most. To make life delicious I give back a few tasty substitutes and Cashew Cream is one of them....

1/2 cup raw cashews

2 cups water

1 T nutritional yeast

1/4 celery salt

1 t onion powder

1 tsp salt

1 rounded t arrowroot powder (like cornstarch)

Blend Cashews and 1/2 c water in blender/processor until there are no cashew pieces left.

Add 3/4 c water and remaining ingredients. Pour into sauce pan and add remaining 3/4 cup water.

Bring to boil stirring constantly until thickened, over medium heat.

Voila! Enjoy over fresh a haddock and onions or veggies or wherever your inner creativity takes you!

Sluggish= Cleansing

Cleansing is an integral part of any wellness journey. Your bodily cells both take in nutrients and discard wastes. If waste byproducts are not eliminated, they accumulate and prevent cells from receiving needed nourishment. The best diet and supplements in the world will not help cells that are strangling in their own waste. This is why cleansing is a great start to a successful wellness journey!

Are you looking to do a cleanse? I have great viral options with clients from coast to coast in Canada.

Vibrant health is yours!
Balance is the key.
  1. Two Nutrition and Life Coaching Appointments (analysis of nutrient deficiencies & excesses)
  2. Personalized Detoxification Plan (tailored to your own biochemistry and personal needs)
  3. Easy to follow recommendations for cleansing (a fun step by step process)
  4. Revitalizing Your Energy Menus and Recipes (food can be nutritious and delicious!)
  5. All materials compiled in a personalized workbook for your reference (a book compiled just for you)

Renewing Your Spirit for a Balanced Healthy Life

What gets in the way of my ability to live in the moment is trying to do too many things at once, forgetting to take care of myself first. Instead I tend to start feeling cluttered or panicked that I can't possibly finish it all, and I don't get anything done right until I slow down long enough to focus on the first task of the day; the task of renewing my spirit.

"Renewing the spiritual dimension provides direction your life. It is your core, your center, your commitment to your value system. It’s a very private area of life and a really important one. It draws upon the sources that inspire and uplift and tie you to the timeless truths of all humanity. And all people do it very, very differently." (Stephen Covey)

You may find it in prayer, meditation, through the Bible scriptures because they represent your value system. For others reading great literature or listening to the beauty of music can provide a similar lift to your spirit. There are others who find it in nature. Nature's beauty and fresh air can be the missing link for many of us.

"When you are able to leave the noise and discord of daily life and give yourself up to the harmony and rhythm of nature, you come back renewed. For a time, you’re undisturbable, almost unflappable, until gradually the noise and the discord from outside start to invade that sense of inner peace." (Stephen Covey)

Leading a healthy lifestyle means a commitment to taking care of yourself; body, mind and spirit!

Have a beautiful day~ Sara Ashe
